Sign2Read Literacy Initiatives Inc. (“Sign2Read”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of personal data of individuals who visit the Sign2Read website (the “Site”), use our mobile software applications (“Apps”), and/or the products and services available on the Site (together the Site, Apps, products and related services are our “Resources”).

 

We conduct our activities in compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to the protection of personal data and data security. In the following, we tell you what information we might collect, how we handle that information and to which parties we might possibly disclose such information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

Sign2Read.com does not collect any personal information about you on the Site except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information.  We only have access to information that you voluntarily give us via email, other direct contact from you, or when you place an order on our site. When ordering on our site, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, or credit card information.

 

We will not use or share your personal information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.  We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order or to process a payment through trusted third parties (see service providers below).  

 

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.

Service Providers: We engage selected trusted Third Party companies to assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you (e.g. hosting services, shipping services, payment processing services- collectively, “Service Providers“). One of our Service Providers in particular is our e-commerce platform, Wix. This platform allows us to share and sell our Resources online and simplify your user experience. When you access or place an order with Sign2Read through the online store, Wix collects and processes your Customer information on our behalf, for example for risk and fraud screening. Therefore, whilst Sign2Read makes use of Wix, please refer to Wix’s Privacy Policy, available at  https://www.wix.com/about/privacy

 

Sign2Read Literacy Initiatives Inc. does not collect sensitive, personally identifiable information (e.g. name, email address) from the users of our Apps.

Your Choices About Your Information

You may decline to submit personally identifiable information through the Site in which case Sign2Read may not be able to provide certain services

to you. You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time.  You have the right to request that any information about you that Sign2Read may have on file be erased by contacting us directly at sign2read@gmail.com.

Website Cookies

Our website may collect anonymous usage information to help improve the quality of our services and applications.  Our website is hosted by Wix (see their privacy policy here) and they use cookies and collect non-identifying information when visiting sites created with their platform (like this one).  You can access Sign2Read’s Cookie Policy here.

Security - How We Protect Your Information

Secure Online Ordering:
When you provide information on any of our order forms to make a purchase, the transactional information that you provide is transmitted in a safe, encrypted format which is the most secure way currently available to protect your credit card information. Our payment gateway providers (PayPal and Stripe) use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, an industry-standard protocol used to establish secure communications between a web server and a client.

PayPal and Stripe adhere to the standards set by PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). PCI DSS is a set of comprehensive requirements that help ensure secure handling of credit card information. .

Sign2Read uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your information.  We will strive to prevent unauthorized access to your personal information, however, no security system is impenetrable and no data transmission over the Internet, by wireless device or over the air is guaranteed to be 100% secure. We cannot provide assurance or guarantee that any information you transmit to us will remain free from loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties who, despite our efforts, obtain unauthorized access.  We will continue to enhance security procedures as new technologies and procedures become available.

Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. Sign2Read does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, if we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent we will remove that information. 

Links with Other Websites

The Site may contain links to other sites. We provide these links as a convenience. We are not responsible for the content and the privacy practices of other websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each website you visit through our links to ensure you are comfortable with their policies.

Complete Agreement

In addition to this Privacy Policy, your use of the Site is also subject to Sign2Read’s Terms of Use. Together with Sign2Read’s Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy constitutes the entire agreement between you and Sign2Read with respect to use of the Website and our Resources.

This Privacy Policy is executed in English. You agree and acknowledge that you have reviewed this Privacy Policy in English. To the extent that any translations of this Privacy Policy are provided, they are solely for convenience and are of no binding effect. The English language version of this Privacy Policy shall control.
